MAINTAINING AND UPGRADING THE ONLINE FLAME MONITOR SYSTEM FOR NGHI SON PETROCHEMICAL REFINENRY
Nghi Son Petrochemical Refinery was built by JGCS consortium which has been commercially operated since November 2018. The plant has used a flame monitoring system developed by Fluenta.
Online flame monitoring system plays a vital role in the economic operation of the plant which provides not only key data for operating engineers to calculate the energy balance issues but implementing solutions and optimal measures as well.
Scope of work:
ITECO will offer the original cause investigation report, repairing and replacement services for the fire monitoring system at locations (180-FT-0027, 0032, 0040), including activities as follows:
1- ITECO conducts research and investigation to find the original cause of the flare flow meter error.
2- Repair 03 sets of flare flow meter (180-FT-0027, 0032, 0040). After being repaired, the flare flow meters will work normally and stably.
3- Replace 01 new flare flow meter system with the cable system.
4- Configure and update software for the system.
5- Training for NSRP's engineers.
Results:
NSRP has strict requirements in terms of implementing unsafe tasks, finding out the error causes and providing solutions to fix it in a short time. However, these requirements are found to be extremely difficult because each chimney is closely related to each technical line that needs the cooperation of various departments. Along with the strict requirements for the accuracy of the system, ITECO engineers, Fluenta experts and a support team have consistently cooperated with other departments to meet the requirement best as the request from the plant.
